Prerequisites
- A ConvertKit Creator account
- Access to your ConvertKit API settings
- Your ConvertKit API key (v4)
Getting Your API Key
1. Access API Settings
- Log in to your ConvertKit dashboard
- Click on your profile picture in the top right
- Select “Account Settings”
- Click on “Developer” in the left sidebar

2. Get or Generate API Key
- Look for the “V4 Keys” section
- If you don’t have an API key (starts with
kit_), click “Add a new key” - Copy your API key - you won’t be able to see it again

Connecting to BeeHype
- Go to BeeHype Integrations
- In the ConvertKit section, click “Connect”
- Enter your API Key (must start with
kit_) - Click “Save Configuration”

Verification & Next Steps
After connecting:- The status will show as “Connected”
- Go to Create Content to import your ConvertKit broadcasts
- Select the broadcasts you want to transform into social media content
You can import your broadcasts at any time from the Create Content page. This gives you full control over which broadcasts you want to transform into social media content.

Your API credentials are our top priority when it comes to security:- Encrypted Storage: All API keys are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption
- Limited Usage: Keys are only accessed when performing specific actions like importing content or syncing data
- No Unnecessary Access: We never use your keys for any purpose other than the features you’ve explicitly enabled
- Complete Deletion: When you disconnect an integration, all associated API keys are immediately and permanently deleted from our servers
- Secure Transmission: All API communications use HTTPS with TLS 1.3 encryption
- Regular Security Audits: Our systems undergo regular security assessments to ensure your data remains protected

Content Access
BeeHype will have access to:- Published broadcasts
- Public newsletter content
- Basic subscriber metrics (for analytics)

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues:- Verify your API key format (should start with
kit_) - Ensure your API key has not been revoked
- Check if your ConvertKit subscription is active
- Confirm you have the necessary permissions
